Fifth wheel toy haulers are the perfect combination of RV and cargo trailer. They can have all the comforts of a motor home or camper trailer with an attached garage for your “big toys” - ATVs, motorcycles, classic cars, etc. 5th wheel toy haulers allow you to utilize your big toys away from home while maintaining all of the comforts of home.

Fifth wheel toy haulers come in a variety of styles and levels of comfort, all depending on your needs. Some toy haulers are garages with convertible living space. They include beds that pull down, fold out, or hook up to the ceiling, and a small kitchenette. Other toy haulers have separate living quarters with attached garages.
Depending on your priorities, you can have more space dedicated to the garage or more space dedicated to the living area. In either case, your living amenities are generally in the front of the trailer and your cargo space in the back. In the living area, you will generally find a sleeping area, a kitchen, a bathroom and plenty of storage space. There is also usually some kind of table and eating area as well as air conditioning and a furnace. More luxurious units have a generator, satellite TV, a stereo system, DVD player, and even satellite internet.

The cargo space is usually between 10-14 feet and has a ramp door that folds down to allow easy loading and unloading of your toys. You can customize your cargo space with shelves, cabinets and racks, and even a portable gas pump so that you are always ready for your next adventure.

Toy haulers come in both drivable and towable units. Towable units give you the flexibility to have an around-town vehicle that can detach from your trailer, while, drivable units provide the ease of only maneuvering one vehicle. Another advantage to the towable models is that they are easier to maintain. If you choose a drivable model, you have the option of either a Class C or a Class A. Class C models are built on a van frame, generally use gasoline, have higher fuel efficiency and include a bunk above the driver’s cab. Class A models are built on a bus frame, generally use diesel fuel and tend to seat more but sleep fewer than the Class C.

Before purchasing your used or new toy hauler, do some research to figure out what you want. If possible, you may even want to consider renting one to make sure it fits your needs. When you are ready to make a purchase, check out your local classifieds, as you can often find a good deal on a used RV from a private seller.

Once you have your trailer(s) ready for hire you need to let as many people as possible know. This is the part of the business that is often either overlooked or not pushed enough. No matter whether it is a trailer hire business you are trying to make a go of or something like a restaurant, hotel, shop, or online website store; none of them are going to make any money without customers!
You could have the most wonderful trailer in the country, but unless people know about it and can hire it easily, you are wasting your time. So you need to market your trailer hire business effectively. So starting close to home look at your trailer and see where you can place an advert advertising the fact it is available for hire. Get a weatherproof sign made and mounted on it.
Next, let everyone you know that you now have a trailer for hire. Speak to them, phone them, text them, and email them. Either you or your family go round your village, town or district with fliers in their hands and post them through letter boxes. Arrange for teenagers to do it for you for a small fee. Contact your local newsagent and ask them if their paper boy or girl will deliver the fliers at the same time as the newspapers.
Contact your local newspaper and see if you can arrange for your flier to be inserted in each edition. Leave your fliers where people congregate - taxi offices, takeaway shops and diy shops. Leave your flier or smaller card in every supermarket in your district - remember to call back every 10 days to put up another one.Go to your local libraries and put your advert on their notice board.
In local shops arrange for your advert to be put in their window for a small fee per month. If you have more money to spend on marketing you could arrange with your local taxi firm to have advertising on their taxis. Same goes for local bus companies. Visit your local skip hire business and come to some arrangement to have your business advertise with them. This way anyone hiring a skip may also want a trailer to hire.
Next move to online possibilities. In this country just like America, there are yahoo groups. The two groups you want to post messages (adverts) on are - Freecycle and Cheapcycle. The first, Freecycle has allsorts of household and other items available for people to collect from them, for free. Some of these items are large, too large for loading into a car. These people will be reluctant to pay removal firm fees. They want cheap transportation, as soon as possible. It is the same with Cheapcycle, although these items cost their customers, they still want one off transportation for hire.
Classified ads online such as Loot, Intergiant, FreeUKClassified, Vivastreet, Classifieds, FreeAds, and Onlinexchange are all places you could advertise. There is also a website called Craigslist, which is very widespread in America and has the same rising success over here. However, recently Craigslist has attracted ‘time wasters and others who want to spend their time ‘messing people about’. So by all means visit the website and judge for yourself. If you decide to place an advert. Make sure the person hiring your trailer is ‘bona fide’ (in good faith).
While thinking about online advertising and marketing you might consider having your own website. Your own trailer hire website maybe worthwhile. Setting up a website requires the following- a Domain name, Hosting, a platform such as WordPress (free), a PayPal account and a Google AdSense account. This would be the minimum necessary to have an online business.

One of the great things about a toy hauler is that it is not an RV for summer vacations only. When the snow flies, you can pack up and head for winter fun with your snowmobiles, snowboards, skis, and whatever other toys are appropriate for your winter wonderland getaway.

What to look for in winter RV camping

Many RV Campgrounds offer winter accommodations. Since you are in a toy hauler, you need to find places that have room for the big rigs. They should have wide roads, and pull-through sites that are at least 60 by 35 feet.

Check their hookups. If you are going skiing, you will want to keep warm when you come in off the slopes. You’ll need electric service, water, and sewer. WiFi and cable access may not be survival tools, but they are a plus for your off-slope hours.

Decide if you are going primarily for sport, resort facilities, or both.

If you want to travel with friends

If you are traveling with a group, there are RV park owners who have several parks where groups can stay together for fun in the snow at a discounted rate. There are RV parks, or portions of them for adults only if you’re hoping for a kid-free vacation. Maybe you’ll want a place near some great restaurants: skiing is great for working up an appetite. Take some time to plan together and decide what is important to your group before you make reservations.

Making your reservations

After you’ve researched the possibilities of winter RV accommodations, and looked into the recreational facilities, take out your calendar, and choose several possible dates. Some resorts fill up quickly, and some may have a limited number of suitable sites for the toy hauler-sized RVs. Make your reservations as early as you possibly can.

Getting ready

If you haven’t checked your recreational equipment since last spring, get it out to make sure it is ready and safe to use.

• Go through your outdoor clothing and air it out, and repair whatever is necessary. Do you need new boots? Socks? Don’t wait until the last minute.
• Have a mechanic check out your motorhome to make sure it is winter ready as well.
• Take a few practice drives to get the feel of driving your loaded vehicle in winter weather.
Go!
Give yourself plenty of time to get there safely, and enjoy your winter vacation!

What You Need to Consider Before Purchasing a Telescopic Flag Pole

If you are looking for telescoping flag poles then you need to make sure you understand the considerations. This article will inform the reader about all the considerations and options for these telescopic flagpoles and once they are done they will be able to make the right choice for their specific RV, Toy Hauler or Boat needs.

If you own an RV, Toy Hauler or Boat and are in the market for a telescoping flag pole you have to be careful with your selection to ensure that not only you are getting the best deal but also you are getting the right flag pole that will last and endure the elements.

Usually these flag poles come in 2 sizes, these are 16ft and 22ft poles. These telescopic poles usually collapse to a very manageable size and are easily stored away for future use. However, when fully extended you need to make sure it is durable and not likely to bend or break in high winds or adverse conditions.

Most poles are made of aluminum or fiberglass. There are also heavy duty or regular poles as well as a range of mounts that attach to your vehicle without causing problems. As you can see, there are many factors to consider before you make your selection.

So which is best for your situation? Well, it depends on the specifics of your situation. Are you constantly exposed to high winds or not? What available mounting positions are available on your vehicle? Also, where are you going to store the pole once it’s collapsed?

Telescoping flagpoles are very popular and thankfully you have many options based on your requirements. Often, you are better off getting a heavier duty telescoping flag pole as it is better to be safe than sorry later on. Also, fiberglass flagpoles tend to be lighter and more durable than aluminum, which can bend and even snap in high winds. Also, even though aluminum poles can be light, fiberglass poles can weigh as little as 4 pounds.

With a fiberglass flagpole with easy mounts that is light and durable you really have the best of all available options. This way, even if you have high winds or not you have a lot of flexibility and these can be mounted almost anywhere on your RV or Toy Hauler. You can even mount these flags in your front yard or on your fence.

As for mounts, there are many mounts for RV’s and toy haulers. You can easily mount your pole to bumpers, ladders, wheels and even ramps on toy haulers. You also need to make sure that you can easily attach your flag to your telescoping flagpole by making sure it has rotating collars and easy mounts or opening clips which make life very easy.

Next, now that you have decided that the telescoping flag poles telescoping flag poles are your best option, go visit toyboxcovers.com which shows you some of the best options for telescoping flag poles.

Tent trailers are a type of recreational vehicles (RV) that can be used as traveling or camping shelters and even as full time homes. RVs are very popular among families who go on regular camping trips every summer and are also the preferred type of dwellings by some who do not have a traditional permanent home. People who use this vehicle as a permanent dwelling often purchase one of their own from previous owners or directly from manufacturers. Campers, meanwhile, either buy them or rent them from camping supplies companies.

Aside from tent trailers, recreational vehicles can also be in the form of truck campers, folding camping trailers, motorhomes, park models, toy haulers, travel trailers, hybrid trailers, fifth wheel travel trailers and toterhomes. Each type of RV has its own features and purpose and each has its own pros and cons. Truck campers are comprised of camper shell units that can be attached to the chassis of a pickup truck. Folding camping trailers, also called pop-ups, are light-weight units with collapsible sides for storage and towing. Motorhomes, on the other hand, are units built on commercial truck chassis, a conventional van or a pickup truck.

Park models, another common type of RV, have the same basic features as all kinds of trailers. They are designed for occasional relocation and require a highway movement permit when they need to be moved. A special towing vehicle is also needed to relocate this type of vehicle. A toy hauler, meanwhile, is designed to function as a living space and a garage for storing things such as ATVs and motorbikes. Unlike toy haulers, travel trailers serve more as living quarters rather than as storage vehicles. They have rigid sides for towing and have a bumper or frame hitch. The nearest in built and design to the travel trailer is the hybrid. It is a combination of travel trailer and folding trailer which can feature pull-out tent sections or walls that can be lowered over the bottom of the vehicle for towing. The fifth wheel is also much the same as a travel trailer but is equipped with a special hitch in the truck bed.

The advantage of using or living in these recreational vehicles is that there will be no need to rent a motel or a hotel room if you happen to be a state-hopping person. They are also equipped with cooking equipment so that food can be prepared inside and there would be no need to eat at restaurants. The main disadvantage is that RVs have low fuel economy and some bigger models are hard to drive. There is also the problem of towing costs, not to mention the hassle involve in towing.

Given the pros and cons, there are still a big number of people who prefer to live or travel in tent trailers and other types of RVs. For some, the idea of having some sort of home wherever they go is comforting. It is also a form of adventure to leave the safety of a static dwelling and travel around the country carrying your shelter and basic necessities with you.

Cool temperature gives a refreshing ambiance to your recreational vehicle. Whatever it is you have-a camper, pick-up RV truck, Class B or C motor home, your air conditioning system must be working pretty well to provide calmness and coolness all day long, regardless of what the weather is. When there’s any defect with your air conditioner, you have to be actively getting RV Air conditioner parts to restore its functionality.

Ensuring that air conditioners are in tip-top shape is wise especially when traveling to a series of destinations. The effort of maintenance comes stronger when it is summer. The heat of the sun can be fighting against with the coldness of what your air con can bring. Many manufacturers offer the best and coolest options of RV air conditioner parts that fit the needs of toy haulers, pop-up campers, fifth wheelers, travel RV vans and all types of motor homes. There are air con systems that are low-profile; there are others that are ducted, non-ducted or plainly heat-cool.

For most neophytes or veterans in running a recreational vehicle, when something goes wrong about their air conditioning units, the most immediate recourse to have is purchase some RV air conditioner parts. To anybody, air condition resolves issues of humidity and hotness in an enclosed infrastructure, to include motor vehicles and RV’s. No rider wants a hot ambience that makes him perspire especially that RV’s can become uneasy and uncomfortable when the weather is warming up.

Implementing a consistent maintenance of RV air conditioning equipment is necessary because there are RV air conditioner parts that can deteriorate easily when they’re not being attended to regularly. Once one part of the system is damaged, the entire appliance becomes hopeless to function appropriately. The fans, compressors and motors are the usual parts that easily shy down.

RV air conditioner parts are not the same as home air cons that are not so sensitive. RV air cons are much more prone to threatening elements outside, thus they demand for more constant check up. Travelling through diverse places under varying weather conditions in just a short duration can be some job for the air con to support. To those residing in warmer counties who plan to travel during winter, it is advisable that you maintain your cooling system with maximum attention.

Embracing a routine of maintaining the functionality of your air conditioner will remedy you from coming to and fro the shop just to buy RV air conditioner parts. Cleaning and handling the parts with care will help it sustain the ideal cool temperature you and your travel companions want to enjoy while on the road. RV’s can be a pampering escape from a redundant lifestyle of stillness.

<img class="alignleft" src="http://images03.olx.com/ui/2/46/22/18244422_3.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="240/>When considering which motor home or recreational vehicle is appropriate for you, there is a great deal of information to sort through. In Canada and the United States, leading RV dealers supply vehicles made by more than 80 manufacturers, in at least nine distinct classes.
Smaller, used vehicles can start as low as $5,000, while new, high-end models can fetch more than $300,000 at sale. The most gratuitous vehicles which, among other luxuries, are capable of storing a small car within the main “hull” have been known to cost several million dollars! The features offered by the vehicles of different size, class, and make vary a great deal, and it is always wise to make your purchase knowing that you are an informed buyer.

There are nine different RV classes you should be familiar with when shopping around. The first three of these are what are strictly known as motor homes, although it is still correct to call some other classes of RV a motor home. Class A motor homes are usually built around a commercial sized truck or bus chassis and are usually more than 30 feet long. A second-hand unit can be found for as little as $11,000; however, Class A motor homes will be found between $100,000 and $300,000 when new.

Class B motor homes are smaller, usually between 19 and 30 feet long. You can easily recognize Class B vehicles by the more common name of camper vans. Built around a modified conventional van body, a new one will usually cost between $30,000 and $70,000.

Class C motor homes are more similar to Class A, being built on a truck chassis between 21 and 35 feet long, costing anywhere over $50,000 new. They are distinctive in that they always have a section which overhangs the truck’s cabin, making the most of the available space.

The next largest class of recreational vehicle is what is known as a 5th wheel trailer. This is an RV trailer which hitches onto the back of a truck with a semi-trailer coupling. These are typically the heaviest-duty trailer hitching available, used by the largest trucks, and suitable for a large RV with a relatively heavy load. 5th wheel trailers are often modified from some other original vehicle, so prices and sizes vary, but they are usually between 30 and 40 feet long, fetching anywhere between $30,000 and $100,000.

Fifth wheels have the advantage of being able to unhook from the vehicle towing it, giving you much greater flexibility in how you use both your motor home, and your towing vehicle. Note that a 5th wheel coupling is unsuitable for retrofitting to most types of vehicle, so the preferred towing vehicle is a light commercial truck or something similar.

Next, are the smaller caravan-style trailers ranging from 13 feet to around 30 feet. These include the smallest class, folding campers, that have extensible fold-out awnings when deployed, and can be found for between $5,000 and around $20,000. These represent the lightest type of RV you can normally find. Slightly larger are bi-fold, conversion vans, and travel trailers - each of these is typically sized less than 30 feet.

Conversion vans resemble a really large camper van or light bus, and are available for around $90,000. Bi-fold RVs are large trailers of around 30 feet when deployed, but which are towed when ‘folded’ to make them much shorter and lower profile which makes them lighter, and easier for you to tow. Bi-folds and travel trailers are each usually found for between $15,000 and $40,000, and like conversion vans, may need external hookups for water, waste, and power, frequently available at properly equipped trailer parks.

With dozens of different types of RVs available, you are sure to be able to find a motor home or other recreational vehicle to suit your needs, whether you’re a retiree, camper, on a college road-trip, move around a lot for work, or you’re after a low-cost housing solution. Budgets can range anywhere between five thousand to three million dollars, depending on your needs.

Your RV served you well for a long time, and now you’ve decided to move up to another or you are looking to move out of the RV lifestyle for a little while. No matter what your reasons, you want to get the most out of your Rv, Camper, Travel Trailer, of Fifth Wheel when it sells.

There are a few quick and painless things you can do in a weekend to make sure you get all the money you deserve out of your RV. If you take a couple of stress-free days to prepare your recreational vehicle for sale, you are likely to sell it faster, for more, and with less headaches (or heartaches).

Now that you see the value of doing a bit of preparation, I’ll share with you the 4.5 Tips that will give you the most bang for your buck:

1. Get a good starting price:

I know this sounds obvious, but you’d be amazed at how many people don’t have a good guess at the value of their RV, camper, pop-up, travel trailer, 5th-Wheel, or camper van. Finding the value can be as easy as looking at the Kelley Blue Book value or calling a local RV dealer. Do your research and you’ll save time haggling.

2. Get Exposure:

The more people know your RV is for sale, the more bidders you are going to have bidding up the price. I suggest listing your RV for sale on Craigslist in your local city. (Craigslist is a free classifieds website… Google it and you’ll find it). Also, it’s great to list in the newspaper. Last but not least, eBay is a very popular listing place, but make sure to mention that you are looking to sell outside of the website too so you aren’t roped into selling it to the highest bidder if you sell it beforehand.

3. Clean Your RV Better Than You’ve Ever Cleaned It Before:

Often, the most qualified buyers (the one’s with your whole asking price in an envelope in their glove compartment) are the most knowledgeable. You are going to need every crook and cranny sparking if you want these people to trust you and your maintenance.

I suggest to everyone selling an RV to get a good series of checklists to ensure they prepare their RV for sale completely and correctly. The few dollars spent on a checklist book will be repaid a hundred times over in the sale. Here is a review of my favorite checklist book ever.

4. Look at Your Rv Like a Buyer Would:

This point goes with the point above too. You really need to look at your RV like a buyer would. You need to get into their mindset and realize that they are forking out money with no warranty- just your word. You’re best bet is going to be to quell their worries and fears by bringing up any issues you have had- and better yet- issues you have NOT had.

One very popular ebook out there on how to Buy a Used RV is reviewed here. Your buyer may very well show up on inspection day with this in his hands, and you’d be better off knowing what he or she is going to be looking for.

4.5 Tell Great Stories:

As the salesperson of your RV, it is a great idea to tell compelling stories about your RV life. It is emotions that sell, so make sure to be personal and let the buyer know how much fun they are going to be having.

If you have spent time searching for a great deal on an RV, you’re probably getting a little bit frustrated. RVs for sale by owner, classifieds, Craigslist, eBay, and other sources for RV’s are simply not the cheapest place to find a deal anymore and you just don’t know what you’re getting sometimes.

A new RV will really hit your bank account, and no one wants to add another bill to the long list of payments each month. There is a much cheaper way to get a fantastic RV, without all the problems often found when buying from an owner.

It’s Time to Bypass the Newspaper Classifieds

When it comes to RVs for sale by owner, the reason for the sale will more than likely remain unknown to you. All you know is what the owner tells you. Understandably, the owner wants the most he can get for his RV. You want to pay as little as possible. So you’re naturally at odds.

The owner may be selling their RV because there is something wrong with it. And you don’t know what lengths they will go to in order to hide a problem. So you’ll need to be prepared to inspect it thoroughly.

An Auction Is One of the Best Ways to Score A Great Deal on an RV

One of the best ways to get a fantastic deal on an RV is through an auction. Many RV’s that have been repossessed are sold at auction, and at incredibly low prices.

Finance companies and governmental agencies sell these repossessed vehicles for whatever they can get out of them in order to avoid high storage costs. In most cases, you’ll find these RV’s are often in nearly new condition or very gently used.

Some auctions have reserve prices while others sell for whatever is bid. So, you can often grab a terrific deal. The best part of the whole thing? Many people are unaware these auctions even take place. This means fewer people bidding on that RV that has caught your eye.

Finding the Best Auctions

If it’s time for you to add get into the RV lifestyle, then you need to seriously consider joining a website that lists these auctions and explains exactly how the process works. It can save you thousands of dollars on your next purchase, instead of RVs for sale by owner.

You can save yourself time and literally thousands of dollars by looking over a review of sites that give you access to RVs for sale through government auctions of all kinds and by using our online buying guide (no need to sign up) to learn how to buy used RVs.
